![]() The Foundation gives first priority to projects that increase community self-sufficiency and capacity. For example, community capacity may be developed by encouraging new leadership, enhancing volunteerism, expanding fundraising, strengthening partnerships, creating new sustainable programs and other ways of helping people help themselves. The grant process is a two-step process consisting of (1) Letter of Intent and (2) Grant Application. Applicants may apply for funds in amounts between $5,000 and $25,000. The Foundation encourages proposals with matching funds or other resources. The Foundation does not award grants for the following:
